1. Name
1.1 The name of the organization is Maji Safi Community Trust.
1.2 The registered office of the organization is situated at P.O. Box 1450-90200, Kitui.
2. Objectives
2.1 The objectives of the organization are providing clean water and sanitation to rural communities in Kitui and Makueni Counties.
3. Legal status
3.1 The organization is a body corporate with an identity and existence distinct from its members and its governing body.
3.2 The members of the organization and the members of its governing body have no rights in the property or other assets of the organization solely by virtue of being members or members of the governing body.
3.3 The organization may sue and be sued in its own name and may hold, acquire, and dispose of property in its own name.
4. Participation and membership
4.1 Participation in and membership of the organization is voluntary.
5. Income and property
5.1 The income and property of the organization are not distributable to any person, except as reimbursement of reasonable expenses or payment of reasonable compensation for services rendered.
6. Governance
6.1 The governance structure of the organization is as follows:
(a) A Board of five trustees with three-year terms.
(b) An annual general meeting.
(c) An executive director appointed by the Board.
