Sample termination letter

The first part of the sample is shown here. The names, amounts and facts are made up to show how the document reads.

12 October 2026 PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL Brian Kiplagat Cheruiyot Cashier Dear Brian Kiplagat Cheruiyot, RE: SUMMARY DISMISSAL We write to inform you that the Company has summarily dismissed you from its employment with effect from 15 October 2026. The reason for your dismissal is the unauthorised disbursement of KES 380,000 from petty cash. That conduct amounts to gross misconduct justifying summary dismissal under section 44 of the Employment Act (Cap. 226). Your dismissal is therefore without notice or pay in lieu of notice.
